Components of our methodology include

The Breakthrough Thinking Workshop is the cornerstone of JAL Consulting’s organizational transformation work. This workshop allows leaders to see familiar issues in new ways.  They leave the workshop seeing new approaches for dealing with those issues, almost with new eyes.  They leave with new tools for producing extraordinary results. When an organization or team participates in the workshop they leave with renewed energy and enthusiasm, and a willingness to be more flexible and expanded tolerance for taking on things, which are huge and previously unimaginable.  The organization or team becomes unified around the vision and the ground is prepared for a new sense of teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration with an intense focus on producing the results!

Usually occurring one full day per month over the length of the engagement, these sessions empower the lead executive(s) to cause leadership and accountability throughout the organization.  These days are designed to increase the business leader’s capacities for leading the team and inspiring them to bring new thinking to the business to cause breakthrough business results.

Two-hour monthly sessions with select managers of the organization.  These sessions aid in installing the concepts of breakthrough thinking into the way of working.  These sessions will re-enforce concepts from the Breakthrough Thinking Workshop, as well as support members of the organization in becoming adept at sustaining and demonstrating principles of Breakthrough, i.e., Accountability, Responsibility, Alignment, Relationship, Communication, and effective speaking and listening.

Usually full day monthly meetings which are co-designed with JAL Consulting and the lead executive of the organization or the team leader. These meetings focus on breakthrough results and are working sessions focused on the business. The intention of these sessions is to build an unstoppable, breakthrough team that again and again delivers the extraordinary.

Breakthrough Business Growth and Performance
Over the course of nine months, participants produce a significant and measurable breakthrough in their business performance, and transform themselves as leaders in the process. The course is designed for each participant to identify the current limits of their own leadership, and invent themselves as leaders that they could not imagine they could be. In The Breakthrough Leadership Course (BLC) leaders create and deliver specific breakthrough business outcomes that put their business on a new trajectory of performance. In a structured format, leaders have concentrated time to discover and challenge what they know and are certain about regarding themselves and their business, so as to create new visions of themselves and their business. Working in close partnership with the other participants and the course leaders, they discover new opportunities for growth and learn new approaches to business issues. In addition to the monthly sessions, participants receive individual coaching to advance their performance. Each session introduces new tools to be used in producing extraordinary results. These skills are practiced and re-enforced over the nine months, so that at the completion of the course, they are not just known, but they are installed! These skills are solidly established within each participant so as to be useful when going forward as well as essential to achieving the breakthrough outcomes during the course.
